This mandala was painted on satin silk using French dyes and gold gutta.

I was inspired to paint this mandala during my time in Glastonbury when my spiritual journey began in a meaningful way. The series of 7 paintings that transpired are a powerful tool for meditation and calming the mind generally. This image is the 6th in the series.

The third eye is associated with the colour indigo, the dark night that envelopes you as you sleep. It is linked with intuition and telepathy, seeing on a deeper level. It is the link between the inner and outer worlds and helps us to distinguish between what is real and what is unreal.

This painting is one of my favourites and has a real Egyptian feel to it. I hope you like it as much as I do. :-)
