Watercolour on Arches Cold pressed Paper.59×44cmThis took way too long…I started it before I got the flu and finished it afterwards…seemed to drag on forever, so I’ve got a bit of a love/hate thing with this one.
watercolour, edinburgh, city scape, city scene
Beautiful street scene. Love the touches of red.
Thanks so much Marsha…the phone box was the most fun to paint :)
– Fiona Lee
Very impressive piece of work, Fiona. You have captured the mood and the scene so effectively. Beautiful watercolour, and well worth the effort and time.
Thanks for your kind comments…most of the time was spent doing the windows!
I can see this took long time. So much beautiful detail and depth in this work. I love the phone booth. Great work.
Thanks so much Monica….I definately enjoyed doing the phone box/booth (depending on where we live ;-))

Thanks so much for the feature!!
Congratulations on your feature. I will help you to depart from the hate adventure and express my love for this. You have captured such amazing light in all of the concrete. I love the contrast of the blues and reds, and the quality of work you have cleanly expressed in the perspective. I am enjoying the buildings with planes that contrast with that perspective. Fantastic work.
Thanks so much for your insightful words Pixie…really appeciate you taking time to comment :)
Thanks so much for the feature!
this is impossibly good.. how did you achieve this unimaginable result.. awesome..
Thanks for the compliment….but after taking a look at your “wet platform” I’m not to sure I could give you any worth while tips!
So well done. Lovely scenery.
Thanks heaps :)
Well done Fiona. I love the buildings and the wetness of the street.
Thanks so much Ann…the wet street was the easy part…..the buildings a nightmare with all the perspective!
