This is very well done Fiona. I always get a bit tickled when I see in your description box “Arches NOT paper” as Arches is just a type of watercolour paper. Again this is very beautiful and my favorite apple to eat.
Fiona – these apples are fabulous – I would have liked the shadows to merge with the apples a bit more so that they did not have such hard edges, … but so brilliantly painted. Those highlights and the shaddows are glorious.
Fiona, I feel a bit embarassed, but still need to apoligize to you. It was just brought to my attention that my interpetation of the word NOT is a cultural thing. That English made paper actually identifies their arches and other hotpress papers with “NOT.” Please have a good laugh at the fact that maybe you can still teach something to this old American.
Hey Jim…no worries! Maybe I should just put “cold pressed” instead. NOT just means “not” hot pressed and is ofen refered to as such in art shops and watercolor books…I guess I get lazy, NOT is shorter to type:)
