These are Lycoperdon youngsters. They could be L. echinata but I think it is impossible to say in this age.

    what an amazing COLOR! WOW Is the pink normal or do you think maybe an algae or something on them?

  • I found this in the end of August, took photos, and went home. Next day I had to return to the place – results were the same. The puffballs were pink, and as you see, the youngest one is white / gray. I think the colour is natural but temporary. – They were growing on a dead but hard willow.
