Jo Holden

Melbourne, AUSTRALIA

Hi! My name is Jo. I’m a self-taught graphite portrait artist and occasional graphic designer. I am also developing an interest in photography.

Drawing is my passion. I specialise in creating beautiful and unique graphite pencil portraits from photographs. My portraits are photorealistic and aim to capture not only the features of my subject, down to the finest detail, but also the subject’s essence.

Portraiture has always been my fascination. I love the challenge of capturing a realistic and high quality likeness from a reference photograph. I pride myself on the high detail in my work and the layers of smooth, subtle rendering in every portrait. My portraits are always set amongst a white background so as not to detract from the individuality of the subject.

I take commissions and would love to create a beautiful portrait for you. Visit my website Jo Holden Fine Art and enjoy browsing through my Portrait Gallery.

If you are a photographer here on the bubble, and have a fascination with faces like I do, I’m interested in collaborating with you. If you have a stunning image of a unique and individual face which you think would work well as a graphite drawing, please bubblemail me. All work will be credited back to the original owner.
