Hello, my name is Jen. I have been taking photographs for many years. My inspiration mostly comes from nature and as a result I have a lot of photographs of flowers! :)
Although I’m not a photographer by profession, I have worked in the British film industry for over 14 years. I am recovering from M.E. (chronic fatigue syndrome), which has sparked off and renewed my interest in photography.
For me the wonderous thing about photography is enjoying the little things, the details and that is what inspires me in my photography. To capture that moment in time, the essence of existence and to remark on the awesome beauty that lies all around us is what stimulates and excites me most. There is something very humbling to occasionally be able to capture that moment and share it with others. Now of course the movie buff in me has to quote one of my favourite lines from the film Bladerunner: “I’ve seen things you people wouldn’t believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched seabeams glitter in the darkness at Tenhauser Gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain.” …if only he’d had his camera with him! ;o)
