I feel so sad I feel so blue
But I cannot blame it all on you
You have left my head a mess
You have torn my favourite dress
I’ve tried to clean my kitchen up
I’ve cleared away the broken cup
The spills are mopped, the crumbs are swept
My teapot’s full of tears I’ve wept.
But now is not the time to dwell
Or let those waves of teardrops swell.
I will lay my favourite cloth
And start to get the milk to froth.
Steam the chai and add the honey
Catch the drips cause it’s so runny.
Then I’ll start to peel a pear
And eat it thankful I need not share.
Been trying to take it further for awhile – but it just seems to stop there. So for the time being …
