See me, my sea.
Sometime soon I will make my way back to the shore of my everchanging ocean.
PS. I think I found my way back to my sea recently – here

The waves that rock and soothe.
the salt that stings my eyes and sticks to my lips has dried and blown away.
My sea is vast and everchanging with my moods.
Moments of deep blue warmth that clear an addled mind.
Cobwebs and nightmares washed clean away
Terror taken on the tide
The reflection of the moon shimmering on a pearly mirror.
Lapping slowly at the shore – reassuring
Like a mother pats her child back to sleep.
My waves have many changing faces
Each one reflecting back at me.
The dirty green that swirls and never rests
Energy pushing and pulling
Uneasy with her lot as I with mine.
Throw me a rope that I will wrap around my wrist to cut in deep and bite my skin.
A rope that will pull me home towards my ocean blue, grey, and green.
Not just any drop of water, but home to my sea, a sea that belongs to me.

oh my, fillette… every single one of these words was a little anchor unto itself digging into my insides and finding its place in my mind. every single one.

i can smell this place, the wild and peace of it, all at once. reading this, i could feel myself treading water. wherever your everchanging ocean is, it obviously has hooks of its own in you and i hope you do make it back there soon if this ode to such a place and space is any testament to go by. haunting and just… beautiful.
