Late one evening, Taylor’s grandmother went downstairs to get something to eat. Taylor tagged along. Her grandmother headed for the fridge and pulled out a cold sweet potato. Taylor had never had sweet potatoes and was eager to try one. So her grandmother put the plate in the microwave and set it for one minute. The grandmother sat down and waited, Taylor standing behind her chair.
The time on the microwave was slowly counting down. Twenty-two, twenty-one, BOOM!
Apparently, people were supposed to poke holes into the potato to stop it from exploding. For Taylor, this was a lesson well learned.

A lesson indeed and one for how to clean the microwave perhaps?
Good to see you in flashfiction weekly challenge filfil.
Well, it wasn’t just to potato that exploded. We had to get a new microwave as well.

As grandma slid to the floor???? Nice little story. Grandma’s death would have made it more memorable to the little tyke. ;-) Cheers, Rhino
