Straight

In our town, we have a song
A song we love to sing
About our streets, our lovely streets
And all the joy they bring
We sing, we sing, our lines are straight
They’re always up or down
Left or right, but never curved
Dividing up our town
We love them, love them, love them so
These dear old streets of ours
And on Main Street, the center one
Our City Hall does tower
In our ode to these lines
We give them utmost praise
They’re always straight, they never break
As is their linear way

I had the dumbest math project, so I decided to get creative. This is a poem I made up about a county called “Laneer County” and it was featuren in the Linear Times.

  • Hey Roger, sorry about that, but I just made that up. I made up a newspaper called the Linear Times because it had to do with lines. Sorry about the confustion, but thanks anyways!
