This is a photograph I took of this infamous sign. After visiting the neighborhood that inspired almost all the music of a generation.
music, street, sixties, sign, 60s, san, francisco, hippie, california, neighborhood, haight, ashbury
home of the original flower children …………well taken
Thank you, I had to go to Haight/Ashbury when in SF, People I was there visiting had no clue why I wanted to see this neighborhood. The whole hippie movement passed them by apparently. :( Too bad we could use a little revolution.

There was just a show on History channel, most likely a rerun, about the Haight/Ashbury moment in time… Great shot, aged and in the moment!
Thanks Jeff, it was cool to see even 40 years later. the mark of that movement is still present in the neighborhood today. Obviously, not as strong—but present still.
