your always going to get “Sunflowers ” (van Gough) not just because of the composistion, but also because of the texture, Van Gough used very heavy brush strokes to create a feel (impasto) these strokes gave an element of “canvas” to his work, (he painted on board alot) but by you adding the texture you going to draw the comparisson, I like the clouds, they add a lil Dali into it.

I think in person they are and they aren’ t / Im a huge fan of Vincents life , early life 20 s / 30 especially & read all the letters to Theo and more.. this was really my own take on sunflowers, and rarely paint still life’s ..I was experimenting with texture & size of canvas etc. but any comparison is fine… earlier I played music, some recording / & did some writing etc. & we are all somewhat influenced by who came before us , however minute in any artform … Thanks for your comment.
