This is another image from the first night on the Holland Track back at Easter. The clouds built up, turned to an amazing sunset before continuing to blow me away with the"awesome lightning display":http://www.redbubble.com/people/feza23/art/521... that followed!
More info on how I got to take this image can be found here
Great capture Stephen, lovely clouds formation and colours. Looks very dry but Easter was hot so no wonder ;)
thanks Jan- this is where the fires went through a few years ago and unfortunately those truck drivers lost their lives. the bush still hasn’t recovered and is no higher then waist hight for as far as the eye can see- in all directions and for many many km’s of driving. quite surreal, and you can’t help but think of what terror must have hit them seeing it coming across the plains!
What a sky? Smashing Stephen! Whats the track like?
yeah if I didn’t see it with my own eyes I would have thought it was fake Adrian. to the left was the huge thunderhead building up- blocking the light except for the tops of the cloud here. I love the lower isolated cloud just hanging round.
the track was awesome, lots of details about it spread over 3 posts on my blog if you get bored and are keen for a read haha :-)
Magnificent image Stephen. I’ve seen my share of remote tracks over the years and this brings back memories. That sky is priceless and your composure of this shot is perfect.
thanks Mike, it was an incredible build up of storms.
