there’s the whole Robin family to feed!
If each of you will do your bit
to clean the nest, we’ll all just fit…
…and while you’re busy doing that,
I’ll keep an eye out for the cat…
and plan the menu. Could be tough,
your uncle’s feeling rather rough.
He had an accident last week,
tripped over, fell and hurt his beak.”

“We’ll have to give him something gentle -
perhaps a juicy worm with lentils.
We can all have beetle, roasted.
I’m really good at that!” She boasted.
“But what on air to do with Granny?
She can’t eat the beetle, can she?
She’ll share the worm with Uncle Doug.
(Could even add a touch of slug!)
Minced flies for the babies, good!
Then we can all eat Christmas pud!”
