Vilified and criticised for being inconsistent with her surroundings, over-indulgent, non-functional, and un-Kyoto like, Kyoto train station for me was one of the most breathtaking examples of creativity brought to life on such a mass scale. Straight lines but irregularity of form, light and colour but shady shrouds of mystery. Wow I loved it there :)
