Felicia Hunt is like a good bowl of gumbo, a great mixture of many wonderful cities, experiences, and gifts. She was born in Baton Rouge, and lived in California where she attended Los Angeles’ Valley College, where she studied drawing, and drafting classes for electives. She graduated from Louisiana State University with a degree in Painting and a minor in English. She has mastered additional artistic disciplines through in depth studies of Theater, Creative Writing, Printmaking and Art History. This diverse study allows her to challenge and discover herself through numerous avenues of expression, technique, and experimentation.
Hunt believes that “Art is an extension of each person, and is a complete freedom of expression. It should evoke feelings and thoughts, and not be limited by perception."
Hunt is a prolific painter, selling paintings and prints and completing murals for churches and schools.
She is also available for commissioned works too.
This Friday November 20, 2015, I will be the featured artist at La Carretta on Government for White Light!! My mother Sharon Elliott-Thomas will also be there showing her latest works.
Hope to see you there.
