Acrylic on box canvas 24″ × 24″

This piece is based on the beautiful beaches on Ardnamurchan known as the singing sands. We visited there on a blowy October day, witth the sand whistling across the beach.

The canvas is a slightly larger one than I usually work on, and I’m using a palette knife for the first time. I don’t think it will be the last time..
