The STS-134 stack rolled out to the Launch Complex 39 Pad A last Thursday night, March 10, 2011 at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center, Florida in preparation for the penultimate flight of the space shuttle fleet.
Space Shuttle Endeavour will be making her final flight to the International Space Station to deliver an exotic particle physics experiment called the Alpha Magnetic Spectrometer during her two-week mission.
The external fuel tank, ET-122, is the final ET that was delivered from NASA’s Michoud Assembly Facility in New Orleans, Louisiana. ET-122 was damaged during Hurricane Katrina in 2005 and was returned to flight readiness in the last year.
STS-134 is scheduled to launch April 19 at 7:48 p.m. EDT.
