I took a few liberties with bending some rules in traditional Pacific Northwest Coast native style design for this, with the intent on creating a more flowing design. I tried to capture the dynamic movement of a humminbird as it sips nectar from one of its favourite sources, the fireweed that grows in abundance during the Pacific Northwest’s warm summer months.
