Burning Sky over Basalt - Flinders, Victoria, Australia

Sean Farrow

Langwarrin, Australia

Artist's Description

The rugged coastline of Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula is a constant source of awe and wonder for me. The Blowhole between Flinders and Cape Schanck has always been a favorite spot for me, even prior to photography, as a wonderful place to get away from it all.

Having attempted shooting at nearby Cape Schanck, and finding it overrun by rude and abusive fishermen, and raced down the road to this location to try and capture it before the light failed. Just as I arrived, the setting sun bounced off the underneath of the oncoming storm clouds creating a burst of red.
