Along the Dragon's Reef - Blairgowrie, Victoria, Australia by

The rugged coastline of Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula is a constant source of awe and wonder for me. Pounding surf and relentless tides have sculpted some of the most amazing reefs, shelves and rock formations. The stretch between Rye and Portsea being some of the most spectacular when the tide is rising and falling.

This oft-photographed 6-foot rock formation lies beneath the waves at high tide, and is known by photographers as “The Dragon Head” rock, coined in part by talented local photographer Robert Mullner

sweet work, must do another day soon!

  • Cheers man,
This was almost an afterthought as I was leaving, I grabbed a couple of shots of the dragon. Usually people go there just to shoot this formation.

Standing on the overhang of this reef always scares me a bit, you never know when the whole lot is going to drop into the ocean, lol.

Yeah, for sure, work is pretty hectic at the moment, but hopefully I’ll get some time off soon.
