Bowls and Arches - Arches N.P, Utah, USA by

After hiking the steep slick-rock inclines of Arches National Park in the relentless heat of early morning, you are greeted by one of Utah’s most famous landmarks. The Delicate Arch. Reknowned the world over and depicted on Utah’s license plates, the arches in this park are formed by water erosion and brutal climate changes, carving the soft red sandstone into spectacular shapes.

Arches National Park, Moab, Utah, USA.

Great shot Sean…I can still see snow on the distant mountains there. I so wanted to get to Arches, particularly in Winter although as you say, slick..I think you need grippy ice shoes for that sort of thing…Nicely cropped as well..

  • Thanks Robert,
After going there, good old Langwarrin just ain’t doing it, not that I’ve been out much of late.
I could spend weeks wandering around that place. And it’s a 10 minute drive from Moab, so perfect home base.
It’s a bit of a hike up there, pretty steep, but well worth it.
