2013/04/16 1 × 24hrsBrilliant!!!
The ice missed us altogether ~ had plain old rain that day! This is one little sweetheart, but he’s actually a Tree Sparrow, at least that’s my guess. Not streaky enough for a Song Sparrow, & his little hat looks too rusty. We get both here, but in the past couple of years, Tree Sparrows have been scarce. But our wee Song Sparrow is around, singing up a storm & chicken-scratching under the feeder. In any case, this is a great catch of a harbinger of Spring, despite this momentary icy setback!!
Thanks for the proper ID my friend!! I like to get these things right and I appreciate all the help I can get…some sparrows look alike. :O] Things are much springy-er here now!! lol!! :O]
