As part of my development I am currently completing my Diploma of Visual Art at Chisholm, Frankston.
My quest as an artist is to translate inspirational experiences into physical works of art that are true to me as a thinking feeling person. Visual language can describe things that verbal languages cannot and my interests over time have moved from the traditional to more contemporary works in the exploration of expressionist and abstract styles which is allowing me a greater experimentation with techniques, textures and mediums.
I love to portray all the vibrancy of colour, mood, harmony and emotion we find in nature and the world around us. I use the effect of light and movement and the interaction of colours to express the character of my subject, to hopefully arouse and stimulate both the intellect and the emotions of the viewer. I hope the person viewing my art can make some sort of connection and feel what I feel and hopefully celebrate along with me. I enjoy all mediums of art, choosing to work mainly in oils, acrylic and watercolour. Most of all I just enjoy myself.
