It is so fascinating to see the white Indian Blue Peafowl. We saw one in Kipahulu only a couple of days ago, but the Peahen was solid white. This is the first I have seen of the beautiful white displaying the blue colours as well. It is amazing! Perhaps this is the Pied Mutation?
holy moly, you know your birds sharon! ;-) i just saw him or her, with the tail out but i was not close enough and as i went to get closer he/she jumped up on a rock and closed the tail, i was gutted that i missed the tail out but still happy with this one…..thanks for the fav! paul
This is a beautiful Peacock. I have seen the normal colouring and have been fortunate enough to see the white (albino?) peacocks, but never a pied peacock. Where did you see him?
He was at Featherdale Wildlife Park. I’m still dirty that I missed him with his feathers out so I’ll be heading back there one day! ;-)

Great capture, I’ve never seen one like this before.

yep featherdale, was there again last friday but did not see this one, only Peacock 1 and 2. this guy had his tail feathers out so i bolted over but he jumped up on the rock just as i got near enough! i was devastated…thanks heaps kristina….paul

thanks heaps lyn, i was shocked myself as it was a first time to see a white one, the photo doesn’t do him justice…
