“Incense & Absinthe” is the
third painting in my “Incense”
series inspired by the sixties
song “Incense & Peppermints”
by the band Strawberry Alarm
Clock. Emphasis on its natural
green color as commonly referred
to in literature as the “green fairy”

“Art is my passion, and my passion is Art!” I am a visual artist from Chicago. My works are created using acrylics, oil pastels, markers, graphite or digital and most of the time, a combination of all the above!
I don’t like “labels”, so my work consists of a variety of subjects and styles that reflect my attempt to be ever-evolving and creative and at the same time, projecting that “fun” spirit I have from within.

The green fairy (or green dragon) meets the lava lamp. To cool… I’m making Absinthe for my halloween party, I do it every year… but you don’t get any unless you have a designated driver with you. Great job here Steve. I see sparks!

I must add this, Ernest Hemingway used to drink what he called,“Death in the afternoon,” it was Absinthe, Orange juice and Champagne. Cheers!

  • HEy many THANKS, Russell!!! The honor of being featured in this group is well APPRECIATED!!! Sounds like a COOL, kick butt Halloween party!! Ha! I knew about Poe’s and Toulouse-Lautrec using the stuff, but not Hemingway! Interesting!~S
