“The Look” is darker work than I normally do. With this piece, I really wanted to focus on her emotion. The expression is very open to interpretation. Is it a look of fear or sadness? Whether it is a look of worry, confidence or aloofness…the excessive hair is used to draw more attention to what her face is saying. Thanks for viewing!~S

I think it might be the look of a woman leering at her husband in the middle of the night (note the wild hair), after falling into the toilet because the seat was up?

    Whadya mean no? Hmmph.

Awesome work Steve. Love the detail and her expression is definitely open to interpretation. Wonderful.

  • LMAO!! You sound as if you’re speaking from experience!! LoL! Wow, didn’t see that comment coming! You took it to a whole ’nother level, Rikki!! Thanks for that! ;-)

I think she looks sad and also bored as though she is waiting for something or someone.
cool work. How long did it take you to draw?

  • Hey Tracy, THANKS!! Bored is something I didn’t think of, but you’re right!! Actually, I sketched this back in ’08, then shelved it until I recently came back to it, so not sure what the total time was, but I did it in two parts!! Again, THANKS!!;-)
