New growth on a very old Irish Strawberry Tree (Arbutus unedo).
Don’t you hate it when you only notice something about a shot when it’s too late to do anything about it! In this case there are some tiny, I mean really tiny, white dots on the lower RHS of the new growth. I didn’t see them until I viewed the image at 100% when I noticed that they are tiny fully formed and stereotypical looking mushrooms. If I’d noticed them when taking the picture I would have tried to use them better in the composition with some ultra close ups. Damn hindsight!
This tree is at least a 100 years old, the new growth maybe a few months, the mushrooms maybe a few days.
