RABARI MAN - KUTCH by

A Rabari man – Kutch. Many Rabaris are still nomadic – some of the last truly nomadic peoples left on earth. They can be seen traveling the back roads all over Northwest India They move from place to place with their camels, goats, beds, pots and pans. The women favor black attire. The men dress completely in white. This man was photographed in Kutch, a remote desert area in far western Gujarat State, along India’s border with Pakistan. He’s had a long, hard life.

What a story this image tells and as I looked at it longer (and the larger image) I noticed the impression in the space between the two doors—that added another chapter to this story—amazing image!

  • Thanks, Bryan – I appreciate your well thought out comments.
