The Jat People are widespread in Southern Pakistan and Northern India. Most are Muslim and many are semi-nomadic. This lady was photographed in Bhuj, the main city in the remote desert region of Kutch – Western Gujarat State, India.

    The feeling you have captured with this portrait is beyond words Micheal. My eye is distracted by the onions and garlic though—how would the image look if it were cropped a little on the right side closer to the subject? It would remove the distraction and create more space in the direction that her eyes are looking into.
