Located in the Indian Ocean, 1000 miles off the East African Coast, the Seychelles are the world’s only mid-oceanic granite islands. The islands appear to be composed entirely of giant stone slabs. Many of the beaches are framed by piles of boulders, haphazardly arranged in giant heaps and worn smooth by eons of wind and waves. This is Anse Source d’Argent on La Digue Island.
