A Karo man with an AK-47 – Omo Valley, Southern Ethiopia. Guns are ubiquitous in the remote Omo Valley. The tribal men of the Omo consider weapons to be part of the traditional dress – much like jewelry. I am told that they only shoot eachother.

wonderful portrait Michael, Only shoot each other? your lucky day! John
I prefer the hat to the gun…but the two together make quite a comment.
wonderful but frightening image MIchael, well done
Says so much. Truely sad commentary about the situation in that region but an excellent image. Kudos to your photography skills Michael
Stark shot and truth …
Wow. What a powerful message. Much agreed with Anthony. Great shot!
An excellent shot Michael. I like the dark sky, the green hat, his dark skin and the red necklace. It comes together really well!
