MIR LADIES - LITTLE RANN OF KUTCH by

A number of tribal minority groups live in the Little Rann (Desert) of Kutch – a remote area in the extreme west of Gujarat State, India. The Mir People are among the poorest of the lot. Nonetheless, Mir Ladies do their best to dress in bright saris and attractive bangles – a colorful counterpoint to their bleak desert environment.

wonderful traditional clothing – I like that their eyes are shading from what must be blazing heat & sun. It adds a little mystery!

Wonderful against their home background. The bright colours aren’t washed out by the strong sun. Only their beautiful dusky skin can carry these off to perfection.

Great shot Mike, difficult lighting too by the looks and well overcome. I really like the composition and colours. Great work (as usual).
