BONDA GIRL - ORISSA by Michael Sheridan

BONDA GIRL - ORISSA by

A Bonda Girl is on her way to market with brooms she has made. The Bondas are probably the most primitive of the hilltribe groups living in Orissa – an Indian State located in the east of the subcontinent. Bonda ladies wear beads, a short skirt, and very little else. Bonda men still hunt with bow and arrow.

i have to put this on my list GREAT!!

  • Yes – that’s a good idea. But don’t try to photograph the Bonda men. They are all drunk by 9 o’clock and they actually do carry a bow and arrow which they’ve been known to use on occasion.
