Excellent shot and fascinating scene. They have obviously been using these nets for generations and one wonders whether they have depleted the fish stock in the lake yet?

  • Michael Sheridan replied

The lake is huge – and, at 7200 feet, it is one of the highest large lakes in the world. There are now more efficient methods of harvesting the lake’s tiny “whitefish” and, like most ancient customs, this one will die along with these old men.
