HIMBA GIRL - NAMIBIA
The Himba people live in Northern Namibia and Southern Angola. This Himba lady was photographed in her village in far Northern Namibia. The smooth reddish skin effect is achieved by daily applications of a reddish clay mixed with ash and butter. These ladies apparently never bathe in water.

So the secret to a youthfull looks is to never bathe in water? Just kidding! This is so stunning in every way! Such an amazing cultural discovery. Maybe someone could export that mix so that everyone could look as beautiful and tanned. It reminds me of a picture from a Discovery magazine.

Thanks, Waleskal – it’s hard to believe that they don’t bathe, but apparently it’s true.
