A novice nun on her morning rounds – Kengtung, Burma. Kengtung is located in Eastern Shan State – part of the infamous Golden Triangle where the borders of Burma, Laos and Thailand meet. It is probably the best place in Southeast Asia to see hilltribe people.

Mary – it’s common to see both monks and nuns in this age group. But most of them spend just a few years in the religious life.
