Of all the ‘stripe’ images on the RB home page, I like this. Those zebra’s are ‘tack’, the background is expertly blown-out. Nice job, I just hope it was shot with a Canon! ;)

It’s always the background that’s the problem, isn’t it? The normal background in this case wasn’t too bad as it was. Most of Etosha is a vast, dry lake bed, and everything is sort of a silvery-gray – close to the color of the zebras’ “white” stripes. But I wanted this pair to really stand out, so I used the Blur Filter (Gaussian Blur – 100%) to smooth the background out.

Thanks for the info Mike. I sometimes have to remove zoo backgrounds and even the blur filter is not enough. Takes AGES! :o)
