Michael Sheridan
Profile
I grew up in San Francisco and graduated from the University of California at Berkeley. I went on to Stanford Medical School, chose Ophthalmology as a specialty, and have had a busy surgical practice ever since.
My wife and I have been traveling for more than 20 years, often to places that don’t appear on standard itineraries. During that period, I have accumulated quite a large portfolio. My main photographic interest is people – especially people of the Developing World.
I suppose one would classify most of my work as documentary, but not in a photojournalistic sense. My main goal is to create images that people can enjoy and learn from. If you’d like to see more of my work, visit my website at: www.farflungfotos.com.
