I noticed this tiny barred window in a restaurant today and was fascinated to know why it had bars. It was too small and too high up the wall for even the tiniest of human to climb through. But it did look quite appealing. It will be fun when they need to repaint it at some point in the future.

Very interesting window indeed Joyce; and why would anyone want to put these silly bars on such a small window like that when it is quite high to reach anyway?! However, it is what it is……. I guess it is providing someone with a sense of security…………… I think it looks beautiful the way it looks with the deep red frame and the bright yellow paint (yes, it does need to be re-painted….. LOL) with the spotty frosted glass….I really like the locking mechanism on it too ….. it reminds me of one of my bedroom windows as a child…….. may be not yellow……. but…… I remember breaking it at some point in favor of an open window policy…….. it made sneaking in ice cream and chocolate a little easier……. from your chocolate-sneaking little friend….
