Looking over a beautifully ploughed field on Inch Island in Donegal towards Scalp Mountain and the causeway which separates the island from the mainland. I spend quite a bit of time during the summer months with my friends who own the little white cottage on the other side of the causeway. I walk these country lanes where the views are constantly changing from farmland to coastline. Fields dotted with sheep and cattle and an abundance of wildlife on the inland lake. It is a place of immense peace and serenity regardless of the season, but it is particularly enchanting on a balmy summer evening. It is about twenty minutes by car from my home in the city and I am blessed to have this on my doorstep. Everybody needs a little spiritual place to retreat to when life gets tough, this is mine.
