I am always delighted when I can combine two of my favourite things, browsing in interesting little shops and having something lovely to eat on a cold afternoon.
When I was driving down the the grave of St Patrick with my son at the weekend we came upon this lovely converted post office.
Wonderful thatched rambling building with loads of character plus a wam welcoming fire.
As well as serving local produce to take away they had interesting paintings by local artists and some great home cooking.
The above image is the entrance to Lisbane Post Office. Sadly I had to leave the gorgeous monk’s bench behind.
