St Agnes is a very pretty medieval mountain village behind Menton in the Alpes Maritimes region of France.
Quite a drive round hairpin bends and steadily climbing but well worth the view when you get there.
It is reportedly the highest coastal village in Europe. I am not sure about that but I know that we were well above the clouds when we arrived there.
My friend who was driving the car informed me when we got to the top that she was suffering from vertigo but that is another story.
Lunch and delightful gooey things soon put that right.
