The island of Ibiza is a little gem in the Mediterannean.
There is a party side to the island but I prefer the quieter places. However, the capitol of the island Ibiza Town is a must for visitors. Stroll up from the harbour through the old town which is full of small squares where you can sit and people watch.
Ibiza town is also famous for its wonderful boutiques which have the most beautiful white linen and crocheted dresses. These are made on the island and simply have to be purchased.
Wide battlements take you right up to the top of the town where there is a Cathedral. It takes about 2 hours to get to the top if you take a break for lunch or coffee on the way up.
I took the above capture from the walls. It is fascinating to watch everyday life go on regardless of tourists.
