I love this beautiful Tuscan hill town of towers, peaceful squares and the wonderful shops selling good wines, cheeses, and other delights. One must not forget the interesting churches and museums. I was staying in a converted nunnery near San Vivaldo with a friend who just wanted to sit by the pool every day. I went off in the car round the winding Tuscan roads stopping frequently to take pictures and just drink in the atmosphere of the place. I found a terrific little restaurant to have lunch where I had wild boar and was serenaded by this harpist and it was all rather splendid.
San Gimignano is listed in Reader’s Digest as one of the top 100 places to visit in the world. It is a hill town in the beautiful Italian region of Tuscany.
