Considering the very stormy weather and high tides that we have been experiencing here in Ireland, there is every chance that this old pier will have gone. There is a lot of coastal flooding so I will have to wait before I visit this pretty village of Fahan in Co Donegal to see if the pier has survived. I do hate it when we lose these features of the sea shore but I have watched the gradual disappearance of this pier since I moved to this region in the sixties. This image was taken during the summer.
