Awesome shot! The sad thing is that I remember these signs from when I was little. We’re going to visit my father in law in Buffalo Grove for thanksgiving, now we have a side trip to make! Thanks
I too used to visit relatives in Brookfield when I was growing up. One of my mom’s friends lived in LaGrange, and her husband used to go to go to McDonalds to get sacks of burgers to feed our 2 families.
Back in the 1970’s I worked at McDonalds and hamburgers were 20 cents a piece, then, I actually rememeber these old signs, GOOD TIMES, ummmmm!
We used to visit relatives in Chicago every year when I was a child in the 50’s & 60’s. We also visited one of my mom’s friends who had 3 girls. Their dad always went to McDonald’s and brought back sackfuls of burgers to feed the crowd.
Deja vu! :Love it. Hope you’ll add this great photo to our New Bubble Group, Exploring Illinois!
