Friendlyneighbor Jovials are a rare breed of annuals EXTREMELY hard to find these days.
Originally bred to help make the American suburban experiment a success …They had a hard time surviving and reproducing throughout the decades that followed, especially recently; usually being stomped into oblivion by morning paper-retrievers, porch-sitters, and mail getters who: had just lost their jobs, not had enuff coffee yet, hadnt been laid in weeks, just learned another republican was elected to office, their favorite show had been cancelled by some dipwad in a suit, realized everything in their refrigerator was bad for them, were continually haunted by the nagging dictates of nature but chained to a fear-ridden and ridiculous, religious, moral overlay, their kid was in jail again, just discovered another unjustified utility hike, etc.
In some regions they are known as Hi-ya’s.They are of the genus Perpetualus Greetusallus / a sub genus of Happyus Overrunem

Oh my goodness these are fantastic! I wonder if they would be helpful, if planted strategically, at warding off door-to-door home appliance salesmen.
Or perhaps they could be cross-breed with something more carnivorous :) That’ll solve the neighborhood chupacabra issue…
