Well composed. Great lighting. It must have taken a long time to get the popcorn to spray out just right like that. It’s a good subject too -makes you wonder just which side of the screen we are seeing them on and where, for that matter, that places us. They are watching the screen, but equally we could be seeing them on-screen. If we are watching them on-screen, then the image places us in the cinema. If the subjects are watching the cinema screen then we are in the place of the screen that the subjects watch making us, the viewers, the subject. It catches us up in a self-referential loop between subject and object. Are you familiar with Diego Velázquez’s painting of Las Meninas, at all?

I loved this shot on JPG (or was it slightly different?) and had to fave again. The lighting is fantastic and I like the expressions of the models.
