this is the best thing i’ve seen in ages. you’ve manged to give it an enormous amount of depth- the foreground is fantastic and the mood is positively macabre- that said, i’m not too sure about the two chaps 2nd and 3rd right- they look as if if they might have got historically confused and are accidentally picking cotton. however, that for me, makes it all the more poignant, and possibly a better picture than it would have been if it had just have been soldiers. the metamorphosis of slavery…
